Hello, Mythies!!!
I’ll get right into it – all the renders, writing, and coding are done. I just gotta do my alpha testing, and then the final beta (I hope) will be going out to the testers. Then to you all.
Normally what I’d say is that I’m going to finish my alpha testing this weekend… unfortunately, it’s December. We have holiday shopping and two holiday events to attend this weekend. Boo. There will be no Mythos work done. However, I took off all of next week from my mortal job so that I could get this update finished for y’all. I know my beta testers still have their jobs and stuff, but I don’t think there’s gonna be a whole lot to correct in this final beta so… well, you know how I am about giving release estimates, so I’m not gonna do it. I’ll just say it should be released soon (with Patreon/Subscribestar members getting it sooner, and $10+ Patreon/Subscribestar members getting it soonerer).

There’s some other stuff on the horizon, too! Shortly after Chapter Five is out, there’s going to be a lot of audience interaction as we look past Book One and into Book Two and just what it’s going to be. We can start some of that discussion now, though; you can start commenting on stuff you’d like to see in Book Two. Things you don’t want to see in Book Two. The only thing set in stone for Book Two right now is that it will have the same main character (Kylie/Kyle) and take place after Book One (but not necessarily immediately after). Talk about this stuff on the Discord, in the comments, on Twitter/Bluesky, or in whatever adult gaming forum you see me posting in. Just make sure I can see it.
Also after Chapter Five, maybe about a month out, will be “Ask the Cast” and “Ask the Dev”! I know y’all love those, and being as they’ll be the final “Ask” sessions before the finale, I hope you have some good questions in mind.
Something I’m contemplating, since Chapter Six is going to be a big and likely lengthy development process; round two of the Character Interviews. Jessica Lee could come back and interview all the suspects with a new perspective now that so much has been revealed over the last five chapters. Some of that stuff will likely come out naturally in “Ask the Cast”, but this could be my way of throwing out some answers to questions people hadn’t thought to ask.
That’s all I got for now. I’m dreading this weekend. I’m pretty sure I mention it every year, but I’ll do it again: I hate Christmas… or at least all the stress it brings.
