Hey, y’all! It’s time for the weekly update – and with this one I bring great news!
Chapter Four’s writing is completely done!
What does this mean? Well… read the sentence again. I’m pretty sure that’s as clear as I can make it. But this also means that all that’s left is to convert the text into code (which is very easy; it’s already mostly written in Ren’Py script format for the beta readers) and then do the renders. The coding for this chapter will also be far easier than Chapters Two and Three because there won’t be a Gala scene and it won’t be another non-linear series of events.
Some somewhat sad news about my cat. We took him in for his third glucose curve on Wednesday, and… he just wasn’t having it. He was being so rowdy and violent that the vet basically said “we’re not charging you for today, just come pick him up.” We have to put in some kind of glucose monitoring implant, which means that we can scan it with our phones at home (which means more accurate monitoring), but I hate to have to like… put a permanent thing in the poor kitty. Apparently, these implants won’t bother the cat, but it’ll still be sad to see this thing stuck to him.
Also on Wednesday, I got some bloodwork done! The lab sent me the results as well as my doctor, so I took a peek and momentarily freaked the fuck out because it thought I said I was diabetic… only to later realize that I misread a 3 as an 8 and I’m actually fine. In related news, I need another vision test soon.
That’s all I got for this week. I’m going to DC Pride on Sunday, so I’ll be sure to tell y’all how that went, assuming I survive.
