So I’ve been working on finishing up “For Here or To Go?”, which is the second most complex scene in this update. I may actually have this finished by the end of the night, but I don’t wanna say I’ve completed something when I haven’t — that’s the most surefire way to jinx it! After that scene is rendered, all the others should be much faster. For some reason, the scenes in the diner just take longer to render than most other places (only Gaia’s Cradle has given me longer render times). I may need to have T’s Diner demolished between games and have a different asset in Book Two…
This week has presented some personal life challenges to me, so the update is going up a day early. The first is an issue that comes up twice a year for me: Inventory. With my work doing inventory, I will be unavailable all day tomorrow. My weekends being so busy lately has also contributed to less work than I’d like to get done. In fact, this weekend I’m going to Baltimore’s Pride celebration, so I’ll once again have a lot of real life going on around me.
Besides that, we’ve had to deal with my kitty’s diabetes woes. Yesterday he got his glucose monitoring implant, but he was (once again) being a little bitch at the vet so they had to sedate him. It took him a long time to come out of it, which resulted in us staying home last night just to watch over him. He was stumbling around and drooling a lot which, while funny, was also worrying. But the good news is that now we can check his glucose levels just by me swiping my phone against him!
