I’m really happy this week, as I’ve managed to strike a work-work-life balance and get done a lot of the game as well as real life! As Philip DeFranco says, let’s jump into it. 

Game Update

Today I’ll be finishing up the postwork on another set of renders for another one of the endings, so that’ll be three scenes in the can. Or is it four? I think four or five. It’s hard to figure out based on how stuff is divided up this time. Technically five, definitely three. Let’s call it four.

This is also partially why I’m (again) not putting the checklists up every week. I may put up a version that won’t be broken down scene-by-scene, just to make it easier on me. There are a lot of renders that will be re-used between the endings, so really there’s not as much to get done as it would look like if I broke it down ending-by-ending. Plus, if you see me taking a really long time to finish up one particular ending, you’ll figure out which one the canon one is (the “non-canon” endings are way shorter). 

Personal Update

Still struggling financially right now from all the medical bills, and then yesterday my tire went flat. Yaaaaay. I just got these tires, too! Hopefully it’s repairable, but even then I guess the cost of one tire won’t be too bad. The only thing that sucks about my car (be quiet, Cube haters!!!) is that the tires are some weird-ass size that nobody ever has in stock, so I can never just pop into a repair shop and get a new tire. Luckily I keep a little air pump in my car, so I could inflate the tire enough to get us home.

In happier news, we took a friend to the Renn Faire and they really enjoyed themselves and may actually go in full garb with us next year. I also found a really pretty amulet with a purple stone for only $25. Then we had sushi at the all-you-can-eat sushi place (I have no idea how they stay in business). It would have been a perfect day had we not come out to my tire being flat!

Also watched “Bash in Berlin” which was enjoyable. Morgana and I have pretty much fallen face-first into becoming wrestling fans. Probably because of Rhea Ripley… but considering how hot Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan looked together last night, I’m glad for it! I don’t wanna spoil it in case any of you planned on watching, but the pin at the end looked absolutely sapphic. 

Hey Nine, Whatcha Playin’?

I was very pleased last week when someone got the reference I’m making here. Granted, it was just one person (that I know of), but I’m gonna keep this part going. Especially since I’m not doing the checklists right now (for reasons listed above).

I finished up with Coral Island (as much as you can finish that sort of game; I got the town to “S Rank” and married Lily), so I started up another game I’ve had sitting unplayed for a while: The Thaumaturge. I only played for about half an hour last night to unwind, but it’s pretty neat! And since it takes place in 1900s Russia, you know Rasputin has to be part of it.
