And we are back! Well, I am back. As in doing the more “full” version of the Friday updates. Having recalculated things, I’m happy to see the percentages crawling upward. Slowly, of course, but I’m still just one person after all.

I actually moved up the Story meter from 90% to 95%, because there was one scene I was having trouble trying to place, and then in a sudden burst of inspiration I realized I just had to rearrange a few scenes and it all made sense.

I’d tell you what I changed, but that’d just spoil what’s coming in Chapter Three, anyway.

Coming up next week, I’m opening up for our second round of “Ask the Cast”! Get those questions ready — you’ll have five days to submit your questions, so I’ll have time to compile all the answers. The rules will be a bit different thing time, but I’ll explain that in more detail on Tuesday

I’ve been thinking about the sex animations. One reason they take me forever to do is because I make them include just… too much. For example, let’s look back at Tara’s sex scene in Chapter One — it consists of two animations (four if you include both genders, but whatever). The oral one I got done pretty quickly. The farther-out shot is what dragged on. Then when I did Rain’s scene it was likewise an ordeal. Then again with Sophia. That’s because I’m trying to pose all their limbs, facial expressions, genitals, etc.

So what I may do is instead of the one “showcase” animation, I’ll just do smaller loops. Focus the camera on licking or thrusting or whatever for the motion, and use stills for the wide-angle “see everything” images. I hope this makes sense. I’m very tired.

Last week I only worked at my non-Mythos job Monday and Tuesday, returning to week on Tuesday of this week. Right before I took these days off, late in the afternoon, we discovered that Excel had done something naughty, and basically undid two weeks worth of my work. Since of course I discovered it late in the day, I would just have to fix it when I get back… which meant that not only would I be redoing the two weeks of work that Excel fucked up, but I’d be doing the week’s worth of work where I took time off. So I did three weeks of work in four days. My brain is fucking friedI’m amazed I got any Mythos work done at all, but after the hellish January that kept me from working on the game I didn’t wanna let you all down again.

So, yeah. Fuck Excel.
