Happy Friday, everybody!

But what’s this? Why it’s the brand new Nine of Swords website, your source for all things Mythos (and any other projects I may decide on, which will probably all be Mythos-related anyway)! I’ve actually had this brewing for a while, but my recent hiccup with Patreon’s distribution rules spurred me to get this done quickly. From now on, I will be posting all my updates here, and just putting up links on Patreon, SubscribeStar, itch.io, Twitter, Discord… basically everywhere I announce updates will just be telling you to look at this site.

This means that while I was supposed to be taking a little post-release break, I was instead frantically pulling all this together. If there’s any suggestions or critiques, please let me know!

… okay, let’s be honest, I wasn’t taking much of a break before that. I’m rendering all new side images for the game; these are the pictures of the characters’ faces that appear next to their dialogue. Some of them looked too serious (Tara and B were the most notable), so I’m doing a crapton of little renders so that their expression changes to fit the general mood of what they’re saying. This also means I’m going back over every line of dialogue in Chapter One and Chapter Two to retroactively add their expressions. Combined with the new fonts for each character, I think this will give the game a pretty cool updated look, but keep the same “feel” for the game.

Being as I haven’t officially started the real work on Chapter Three, I don’t have any checklist or news on that. Hell, I didn’t even have a render to throw up for this week’s Friday Update header image! Starting with next week, I’ll have some vague roadmap of what the path to the next release will be. I should be done fucking about with making this site, by then!

Also, I know that I had said that Aiden was getting his interview with Jessica Lee next, and he still is — but I decided that his interview would be too spoilery to put out before the release of Chapter Two. Expect him to be the first interview of Chapter Three. If there’s any other characters you’d like interviewed (even if they’ve been interviewed before!) let me know. There will also be another round of “Ask the Cast” coming soon!

I may begin migrating and backdating the posts from the other sites into this one, so you can look back through this site’s archives to see the old posts I’ve made on Patreon. That’ll be a bit of work, but it’s pretty much all copy/paste so it’s something I can do while renders run or something.
