Mythos is one of strongest debuts I’ve seen.
It certainly is unique, and it certainly puts novel back into VNs. World-building, lore, you can see how much love, thought and work were put into the game.
I won’t dissect it into writing/visuals/production etc., because I believe that a game should just be interesting, and Mythos is.
There are a lot of nuances to the game, if you look for a world to lost yourself in for an evening – this game will be a great choice. It’s a very enjoyable experience immersion-wise, as a “fap material” – not so much, but that is a matter of taste.
This is the kind of work that should absolutely be cherished, and hopefully nurtured into a whole-ass completed game. Or two.
