Welcome back, true believers!
My, that Story percentage took a leap, didn’t it? Yes, I’ve worked out the entire story flow of Chapter Three, basically. I only hesitate to put it at 100% because I never know when I could get smacked with some new inspiration to throw a little more at you. Mythos has already taken some changes I wasn’t planning on at the start, without taking anything away from the core story.
If you haven’t taken a look at my recent Dev Diary, that covers a bit of what you can expect out of Chapter Three (and why there’s no scene numbers). Future Dev Diaries will cover topics like why I’m getting rid of the “love points” system, how player reactions can change some parts of the game, and even possible topics for the games that come after Lisa’s murder is solved and Book One is complete.
Chapter Three is bringing about some other cool changes as well, some of which I won’t fully detail just yet. As mentioned in the Dev Diary, it will have a non-linear scene structure that will put the player in more control over what happens, and will also feature a character that was designed in Daz by Morgana, rather than myself! The character was already planned to be included, but I was struggling with actually making them, so Morgana sat at my computer while I showed her generally how Daz Studio works, and she now understands why I randomly shout at my monitors.
Not a whole lot more news to drop, really — it’s still so early in Chapter Three’s development, and so recently after Chapter Two’s release, that things are in a pretty stable state. I’m sure that won’t last, though…
