Let’s start with the game part, because god damn is this taking forever. Got another Steam denial last week. Fixing little things and resubmitting isn’t so bad; what suck is that every time I fix something, that’s another week it takes them to get back to me with a different reason for failure. I truly, madly, deeply hope that there’s nothing else wrong after this.
Personal life stuff… had some fun things!
Last weekend, as I mentioned, was a Wrestlemania party with some friends. We got a big hotel suite (the kind that has a kitchen!) and played some games when the actual event wasn’t on TV. We played a lot of Jackbox games, as well as some tabletop games (sadly didn’t get to play Sentinels of the Multiverse, which I wanted to play because I’m sad that the studio that makes it just got shut down).
As for Wrestlemania itself, I mostly only cared about the women’s matches, and those all went the way I wanted them to. Wrestling spoilers ahead.
Charlotte lost, Iyo retained, and not only did Liv and Racquel lose, but they lost to a returning Becky Lynch! Like holy shit! Yes, Becky and Lyra lost their belts almost immediately on Monday, but whatever. Whenever Judgment Day loses, I feel happy. Jey beat Gunther, which I was kinda expecting, but the whole fight felt weak. When Logan Paul came out, I literally went to take a shower because I cared so little about him. Sorry, AJ; both because you lost to that scum and because I didn’t watch the match. Cena winning his 17th was fine, but the match felt bad, and Travis Scott like… shouldn’t have been there.
On Monday, Morgi and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary! We decided to re-live our 1st anniversary by going to Fogo de Chao and the Aquarium (I mentioned this, I’m sure), and both went great.
Finally, yesterday we went to a “Halfway to Halloween” event. It’s the second time we’ve gone to this, and it’s been great both times. It’s just like a little convention-like thing that takes place in an almost-abandoned mall. There were a lot of indie authors and crafters there, and when I picked up an anthology book from one of the booths, one of them said, “If you’re a writer, there’s an event coming up…” and I was like, “How did you know?!” Apparently, I have an “author vibe” in real life? That’s what Morgana said, and the guy at the booth concurred. I don’t even know what that means!
I still have some books I picked up at this thing from last year that I haven’t read yet! I need to get on that. Maybe after Mythos gets approved on Steam.
That should be around the same time I retire in 20 years, so I’ll have plenty of time.
Keep the legends alive!
