Helloooooooooo, Mythies!!!

Chapter Three has hit a pretty big milestone! As of last night, I dropped another Beta Build. That may not sound like a big deal, but this build contains the entirety of the story of Chapter Three. Every single scene is now written and coded (with the exception of the sex scenes, that I wasn’t in the mood to write, but are going to be super easy so I’m not stressed about it).

This means that once the renders and a few more songs are done… the Chapter is done. The cool thing about the music is that I can work on that while the renders are rendering. I can’t multitask when writing because I need to stay “in the zone” when I do that.

Combined that with the fact that roughly 40% of the Chapter Three scenes are already rendered, things are looking pretty good for the release. As such, the progress checklist below has been altered; I’m now just listing scenes that I still need to render for (and I still need to write the two sex scenes, I guess).

Let’s talk about animations. Well, it’ll just be me talking. You can talk to your screen if you want to.

I’ve been really going back and forth (publicly!) about how I wanna move forward with sex animations. Here’s what I’m my current plan:

• Finish all the renders for Chapter Three, including stills of what’s going on with the sex.
• Start working on the sex animations.
• If the sex animations take too long, release Chapter Three without them.

One thing that I overwhelmingly have heard from Mythos fans is that the dirty bits aren’t even their main reason for loving the game. While I personally would love to have sexy animated visuals to go along with them, I don’t think it’d be too fair to what is, apparently, my core audience that I’d hold up the whole-ass Chapter becuase of my ineptitude with Daz aniations. If I’m wrong, and it turns out a lot of you out there find the sex animations of paramount importance, please speak up! This is why it’s crucial that you leave reviews and feedback; not just for Mythos, but any in-development games you follow. If we devs don’t know what people care about, we don’t know what best to focus on.

If point three above becomes true and I have to release Chapter Three sans animations, that doesn’t neccessarily mean there won’t be any. Chances are, I’ll just release the animations later and call it something like 3.1 or something. That means the story can be consumed (and I get to hear everyone’s delicious fan theories) sooner!
