Today is a special day, for me personally!
Well, I’ll get to that in a sec, let’s do the Mythos stuff, first.
I was chugging along with my After Effects stuff when suddenly inspiration struck! I immediately delved back into writing “The Lyin’ Bitch and her Wardrobe”, which turned out to be… much longer than I originally planned, took a totally different direction, and got far more emotional. This lead to me having to do minor re-writes to a few other scenes (“Fancy” and “Shantay, You Stay”), but I think it makes the overall story far more interesting.
I wish I could say more on that, but… just trust me, okay?!
On to the significance of April 22nd!
Nine years ago today, Morgi and I got married.
It all started with me meeting her on a writer’s forum. She and I were both dating other people, but our relationships fell apart around the same time. After about a year, we decided to meet each other.
In the week leading up to her visit, I got an e-mail about getting into a closed beta for a little upcoming game called “Star Wars: The Old Republic” — and my access would only be for that weekend. The timing was awful, for sure.
I told Morgana this, saying that I was so excited for our time together that I was even going to put aside Star Wars, and she responded with “no, fuck that, we’re going to stay in and play that together!”
Which is probably when I decided I was going to marry her.
