Happy Friday, Mythies! If you’re in the US, I hope you got your taxes done!

I haven’t mentioned this in a while, but these updates can contain spoilers for what happens in the existing chapters of Mythos, so if you’re not caught up through the end of Chapter Three you probably want to skip them. This one in particular has a spoiler for the end of Chapter Three!

I mentioned my woes about rendering the first scene and possibly re-writing it to make it more doable within my technical capabilities. After loading everything into Daz and blocking it out, it looks like I’ve found a way to make it work! 

Two more characters enter the scene later, but that won’t be an issue due to where they are. So just what the heck is going on, here? Chaos, that’s what! If you want anything more concrete, you’ll have to wait until Chapter Four drops. Incidentally, Chapter Four (or at least part of it) may be coming sooner than you think.

Up until this point, each chapter covers roughly two days in Ky’s life. As I was fretting over how much more I had to do, I had a sort of epiphany during a conversation with myself. Or I guess you could say it was a conversation between Nine and (sigh) Nine2.

Nine: I have to put so much into this chapter! It may be too big.
Nine2: Why does it all have to be in this chapter?
Nine: Because each chapter covers two days and a lot happens in these two days.
Nine2: Who says each chapter has to be two days?
Nine: Um…
Nine2: Who’s enforcing this rule?
Nine: UMM…
Nine2: Now you get it.

So the next release is going to be covering one day instead of two, which means you’ll be getting it faster! I’m not sure if I want to call it “Chapter Four pt 1” and “Chapter Four pt 2” or just say Book One is going to be six chapters. I’ll figure that part out. The point is, a long time ago I said I’d release chapters of different lengths if it made narrative sense, then I promptly made a self-restricting rule that went against that very statement. 

This changes which music tracks have to be ready, where the achievements go, etc, so I’m not putting the checklist down there this week. 

Speaking of weeks, next week we’re getting a Thursday Update instead of a Friday Update. It’s the Ten Year wedding anniversary of Morgana and I and we’re going away for the weekend.
