A week that was blissfully devoid of anything noteworthy. 

Game Update

I’ve brought the checklist back! It really helps to show just what’s left to be done, but alone it doesn’t paint the whole picture.

The names of the endings have been replaced with generic numbers so that you can’t extrapolate who is involved in what just by their titles. It should be noted that, other than “Grand Finale”, they’re pretty short scenes that’s mostly dialogue and “conversational” renders. I knocked ou two of these this week, so it’s not like those are huge time sinks. The Grand Finale is big, but I think I may be overestimating just how long that’s going to take to render.

This week also had me diving back into the existing portion of the game to fix a few things and prepare for the Steam release. The SFW “Streamer Mode” has been implemented, and I may release an updated version of the “Chapter Five” build so that people can play the bulk of the game on streams or “Let’s Plays” without fear of getting banned or demonitized. This mode allows you to play the game without seeing any nudity or sex scenes, but you can still pursue romances. Whenever a sex scene would happen, it just does a “fade to black” with a line or two that basically says “and then we fucked.” Well, not that crassly, but still. 

I also fixed a few bits of dialogue and some renders that had errors I never noticed (like how the apartment numbers in Lisa’s building made it look like Kylie ran upstairs to escape the massive wolf).

I’m getting excited! Every bit I get to check off my list is one step closer to the game being complete.

Personal Update

For the past few weeks, this personal section has been the bigger portion of the updates, because the game part was just me sitting here doing render after render after render. And also because I’ve been dealing with so much bullshit in my personal life.

Well, nothing new is happening! I’m still stressing out over finances, but Christmas isn’t going to be quite so stressful this year because I have far fewer people to buy things for now that we’ve cut most of the extended family out of our lives. It’s basically just my parents and a few friends. Yay!
