It’s October, y’all! That means Autumn is here, and I can maybe step outside without sweating like a greasy salmon. Granted, the only times I step outside are to take my dog out or get the mail, but still. That’s plenty of outdoorsy activity for me.
And check out this format for Friday Updates, eh? Got neat little meters up top to show how much stuff is done (kinda like how Nyx does it), and that actually synchronizes with the meters on the front page of the site. I think moving my updates to my own webpage was a great idea.
But on to the actual update!
I told myself I’d take a little break after finishing Chapter Two. That shit went right out the window, because I instead completely redid all the side images in the game. These images are the little headshots that pop up next to the text box during dialogue.
This means that this past week was spent going through every single line of dialogue to assign it an “emotion”, and also meant I had to make 135 new mini-renders of the character faces. That’s the “5% renders” I got done… but honestly, the number of renders I have done is really an estimate, and I’m not sure how accurate that number will really be. Or any of them for that matter. I just like fancy, colourful graphs.
Though I do have my preliminary outline for Chapter Three ready; I know the scenes that will be happening! I’ll give you more info on them later (and some may change), but you can at least see the working titles I have going.
