Heyo! I know the header image may look a little more boring than what y’all are used to, but for good reason!

Typically, the renders I post are part of whatever scene I’d been working on (or sometimes something random I just wanted to render). What I’ve been working on this week are two things: Coding and After Effects. I’m not gonna post a screenshot of a block of code, so you get a glimpse at the animated intro I’ve been working on.

But that still image is hardly the extent of what I’ve put together so far. In fact, I have here a WIP snippet of the new Mythos animated intro that players will see when they start a new game. Note that if you saw the WIP I posted earlier this week, this is a new one I just made last night (I added some more effects to B’s section and begun Rain’s).

Now I mentioned the other thing I was working on this week was code. Unfortunately, I have some bad news on that front. It’s nothing that means any delays or slowness in progress, it’s just something I really, really wanted to avoid doing.

I did my best to kinda “future proof” the code, to the best of my ability. For example: I made all the character’s names dynamic, even the ones I didn’t plan on changing, just in case something happened later on that would make me change one. But my foresight, it seems, was not enough. I have to go back into Chapters One and Two and change around some variables.

So this means that when Chapter Three releases, everyone will need to start a new game. The old saves will be broken.

I never thought that was a big deal with another game I was playing did that, but I know it’s kinda annoying to deal with, so I’m very sorry about it! On the bright side, that means you can see the new intro, right? Right…?

Ahem, anyway! Keep the legends alive, and please don’t be too angry with me about needing to start a new game.
