I was going to wait until Friday to talk about how bad things went south after my last Friday Update, but in this case things went so far south, and so quickly, that I feel the need to deviate from my normal posting schedule.
Morgana’s COVID rapid-test on Friday came back negative, but the doctor said that those weren’t very accurate lately, and that she could still have it. She decided to get a hotel room and isolate until the full PCR test could come back. This morning those results came in, and they weren’t good — she has tested positive for COVID-19.
This is bad for several reasons. First, obviously, is that she’s sick. Second, she has to stay away in that hotel room for another week… I don’t handle isolation so well. But the worst is the third issue: Morgana hasn’t been in her new job long enough to get paid sick leave. That means that… bills this month could be an issue.
As much as I hate to do something like this, I would like to ask for help from anybody who can spare it. You could make a temporary pledge (or increase an existing pledge) for one month on Patreon or SubscribeStar, or even do a one-time buy of Mythos on itch.io. You’ll get the benefits from those, as usual.
However, there’s another way to help, too — Morgana is an artist in her own right, and since she suddenly has free time on her hands, she has set up her own Buy Me A Coffee page, where she can do commissions (examples are posted as well).
I don’t want anybody to feel obligated to help, of course — Mythos will go on no matter what. I would just appreciate any possible assistance we can with this sudden bad news.
