Heyyyyyyyy, y’all!

Gonna be a kinda brief update this week, since Morgana and I are doing our Valentine’s Day date thing, then we have our normal D&D game tonight. I got a little time in-between to let you know what’s going on!

I’ve nearly finished writing one of the bigger scenes, but as I was testing it I decided, on a whim, to use my new handy text box opacity setting to see how things looked with a totally transparent box.

For the most part it was really good! But for some of the characters, it exposed some issues on their side images; bad pixelation around hair fringes, usually. I tried re-rendering a few with some tricks you can do in Daz to mitigate it (like setting the hair opacity to 0.99), but it didn’t seem to work. So I came up with a new idea, that solves the transparency issue as well as helps make the side images pop out more from their backgrounds.

I’m giving all of the characters halos!

Well, not really. Just glowing.

This should also help even more reinforce how each character has an associated colour (though for any characters with black as their colour, like Monica, their halo is just white). Here’s an example of how it looks in action!

So that was me spending a good bulk of last night editing 150+ little images, because some of them had to be resized, and since it was a bunch of different colours it wouldn’t save me much time doing them as an automated thing.  But I’m happy with how it turned out!

That’s really all I gotta share for this week! See y’all on Tuesday (hopefully) for Aiden’s interview with Jessica Lee!
